At the official launch event of LCR 4.0 we were joined by Steve Warren, Region Director, North West for EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation.
Outlining how manufacturers need to evolve to stay competitive, Steve highlighted a recent EEF/Oracle report giving businesses all they need to know about Industry 4.0.
The report, The 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR): A primer for manufacturers, answers four key questions:
- Is 4IR hype? Or do I need to take this seriously?
- Is the UK manufacturing sector up for this?
- What are the tangible things I can do something with to implement 4IR? (The report includes use case examples)
- What else do I need to do?
